Yet Closer To Home takes the foot off of the gas pedal just a smidge as main writer Mark Farner seemed to want to explore other aspects of his songwriting.

The organ driven ballad "Mean Mistreater" and the iconic, acoustic driven "I'm Your Captain" were pleasant surprises in the GFR catalog.
