I Listen To The Night introduced a brand of blues telepathy that Walker and Davies used so effectively live to mesmerize their then growing audience. Two players so capable, yet given to restraint via a total in respect of the music and each other’s performance within.

“Ashley and I played together for years, but this is where it started”, recalls Walker. “Well not really, it all started with us playing in bars at 3am, but this is when we made our stamp - our first album. It was this album that got our asses overseas. To play in bars at 3am.”

Following the 1997 release of their first album I Listen To The Night, Matt and Ashley enjoyed a wave of popularity, and word got out about their dynamic, and often freeform live shows.
