This is as raw as it gets. Soul Food is rock reduced to the bare essentials, just vocals, guitar, drums, and an overwhelming atmosphere of hedonism. Production values are basically nonexistent, and all the instruments blend together into a thick haze, only emerging when there's a hook or riff that needs to be driven into your skull.
