Ty Segall finally got the perfect production for this album. Everything sounds explosive and in your face and raw and the vocals are (mostly) intelligible. He mostly sticks to short, midtempo songs on here, although a few such as "Standing at the Station" and "Johnny" are really fast. Some tracks start to feel a little generic towards the end of the album, but nothing here outstays its welcome. There's even a Captain Beefheart cover which sounds no different from any of the originals.
