Exquisite singer-songwriter music with a distinct folky edge from an immensely talented Australian. Ned Collette's vocals evoke several impressive reference points - Nick Drake for his tenderness, Leonard Cohen for his poetic lyrical content and "mellowness" and even a young Slim Dusty for his delivery and accent. His guitar work is exceptional, too, utilising numerous layers of both acoustic and electric output that merge quite perfectly.

The album is remarkably consistent and quite beautiful.

Everyone who enjoys the singer-songwriter genre needs to check this guy out. He deserves widespread exposure and acclaim - he's just that good.
