This is a real statement of what a BBNG album is, creating a distinctive voice. Talk Memory is so much more direct than something like Get Up With It and it's all the better for it. These guys tear it up and are accompanied beautifully on most tracks by Arthur Verocai. His sometimes multi tracked string arrangements lilt effortlessly above these outstanding tracks. Alex Sowinski's dominate performance helps this album transcend above most fusion mediocrity. Leland Whitty's wind performances shine on almost every track, but it is most apparent on back to back tracks Love Proceedings and Timid, Intimidating with his perfect sax solos.
