NICK CAVE & THE BAD SEEDS - Nocturama 2LP
$41.95
Includes d/l code.
Its an odd thing, Nick seems to have gotten over his muse for the previous couple of albums and, all in all, cheered himself up a bit.
Nocturama is a bit more schizophrenic and shows an artist growing stronger and more philosophical. The songs are tight, upbeat (for the most part) and appear to be much less specific - he'd been hurt, but this time around the listener doesn't get to bear the brunt of this . There's moments of classic Bad Seeds noise in here too, which is good cause you'd been wondering if he'd forgotten what they were there for.
Recently, Caves writing has strengthened even more and we can see he's beginning to enter a phase with this album. Slightly lighter in tone its still a Nick Cave record but one you can listen to on sunny afternoons as well as on rainy nights.
