Lichen Gumbo is a lo-fi underground rock band from Finland. The songs on this album range from Throbbing Gristle-style hits to more noisy garage rock. Heavily distorted drums, guitars and vocals, ranging in style from garagey no wave to totally deranged, are mixed with synth bubbles which sound like they were recorded straight from the water surface of hot springs (or perhaps they just borrowed a moog from Acid Mothers Temple).
