English singer-songwriter PJ Harvey was a regular on the late John Peel's BBC Radio 1 program, where she formed a bond and long-term friendship with the legendary host and tastemaker. It was in that cluttered studio that Harvey recorded some of the most stripped down and emotive live recordings of her career.
The Peel Sessions: 1991-2004 collects twelve of those classic performances pulled from five different sessions, including a Peel tribute show following his untimely passing in 2004. These beautiful recordings are finally back in print on vinyl, celebrating the 30th anniversary of Harvey's first performance on the BBC.
