Our favourite fishy boot boys, THE CARP, are back with their sophomore LP, offering up more working class street punk through the skewed musical lens of '3/5ths of The Kids Who Brought You Cruelster.'

While Knowso, the other project Nathan Ward fronts, tends to veer towards abstract ruminations on the absurd mundanity of our broken world, The Carp is much more politically direct. Dispensing with any kind of opaqueness at all on the gang chanted refrain of the album's second single, the aptly titled 'F*ck Alex Karp.'

A common man screed against the American billionaire and Palantir CEO. Their 2024 debut 'Knock Your Block Off' perfectly captured that moment in time, and the follow up really speaks to this current moment. In a cultural descent which seems to have no bottom, the present situation is even more terrifying than one could have imagined just two years ago.
