LANA DEL REY - Chemtrails Over The Country Club LP
Chemtrails Over The Countryclub and NFR! could be considered similar records in some points, because the defining characteristics that made NFR! so special are present in Chemtrails, but the backbone changed, the genre changed, the atmosphere changed, it’s a completely different movie.
NFR! corresponds to the most accessible spectrum of this kind of sound, because both are very mature records, but Chemtrails is way more delicate, more extremely well-tasted, more demanding to the listener to pay attention to details, to production winks, to its mystic lyricism, than NFR! did, and that’s probably why so many people were disappointed, you gotta have a trained ear to truly enjoy upon the first listen, and it’s a record that’s also so delivering in its quiet characteristics, that once you lose concentration, begins to be just boring ass ballads.
