Since the late eighties, Primal Scream had been alternately milking two opulent teats, one dripping Stonesian rock and the other one electronic dance music, but we had to wait for their fifth album before they mixed both milks, thickened them with dub and krautrock, and integrated them into a unified sound to call their own instead of juxtaposing them like they had done on Screamadelica.
