The sense of space that's created by the minimal, repetitive bass and drum grooves gives the guitars a chance to stretch out and laze around all fuzzy and overdriven leaving glowing trails of tastefully anarchic psych abandon. Elsewhere they're up to all sorts. They'll strip everything down all darkwave like one minute, underpin a busy groove with a stream of chiming harmonics the next, churn out sheets of sinister shoegaze guitars with icy one-note leads poking out the next, crank up icy staccato blasts of skeletal Shellac-esque rock the next, or krauty repeato-minimal with Suicide-esque vocals the next. It's all about the songs, too, no unapproachable experimentalism here.
