REAL KIDS - s/t LP
$41.95
Posh 40th anniversary edition of original Red Star album.
Remastered by Tim Warren with majestic sound.
Gatefold with centerfold photo by Roberta Bayley and original LP cover shot by Oedipus.
Bostonian legends the Real Kids could churn out some fun shit, man. Their debut is a blend of power pop, an old rock 'n' roll soul with a thick slab of rama lama fa fa fa, and snotty drunk-punk. It may be a little uneven, but it's an energetic, enjoyable listen anyway with a few covers thrown in for good measure—you can tell the band's got passion and "All Kindsa Girls" is where it's at.
One of the most underrated punk bands. This is up there with the Dead Boys, the Stooges, New York Dolls, Pagans, Ramones, the Boys, the Damned & more.
