A promising debut with strong melodies, a driving sound, and lovely interplay between the warm voices of Owen Williams and Lan McArdle. The Tubs manage to expertly balance edgy post-punk hooks and jangly pop melodies to keep their songs gripping and lively.

It’s a vital, kinetic debut from an up and coming rock group reminding at once of Richard Thompson at his most distinct and literate, The Feelies at their most passionate, and Sonic Youth at their most accessible but retaining an edge.

In all, quite the mixed bag of influences AND they are their own thing!
