BIRDSNAKE - Biofilter LP

Synth ambassadors Birdsnake create their own brand of psychedelic-infused downtempo electronica, exploring the line between digital and organic. A free-flowing sensory experience, the band seamlessly combines acid jazz, droney textures and dubbed-out rhythms. Shimmering chimes and pads of wind-like synthesisers slowly build to a cascade of bubbling percussion and flutters of flute. Charging four-to-the-floor kick drum bursts through, with shuddering sound effects intermingled with deep horn-like accents, bringing to mind giant rolling sea vessels. Far away kalimba and metallic bells drift in and out like tides, yet we are constantly being pulled back to the dance floor.
