Debut release from the psychedelic rock band from Brooklyn whose sonic vibrations nod to echo-heavy ‘90s psychedelic icons like Brian Jonestown Massacre and Spiritualized. Formed right before the global pandemic in 2020. The band consists of TJ Freda, Jessica Gurewitz, Kallan Campbell, Justin Hrabvosky, and Cooper Naess.

While the Brooklyn-based band’s sound can be described as “psychedelic rock,” the genre moniker fails to fully illustrate the breadth of GIFT’s resonance, which touches as much on the hypnotic rhythms of avant pop band Stereolab as it does the spaced-out rock’n’roll of Spacemen 3.
