Ride's place in the shoegaze pantheon is more frail than most would have predicted a decade ago; imagine telling people there would be a crowd trying to write them out of the Big Three for committing the cardinal sin of what, being too Britpop-adjacent? Watching Andy Bell join Oasis in their lean years? It doesn't help that Ride had the shortest peak of the triumvirate.

There isn't much gaze to be seen here, which isn't an inherently bad idea as it successfully blends progressive arrangements with more accessible melodies that really hit the sweet spot.
