Funny how some of the best music in a genre can sometimes come from people far outside the genre's typical circle. It's not really fair to Bad Brains to just think of them as the Jamaican punk band though, because really they are one of the overall greatest punk bands of all time. This is hardcore punk at its apex: smoldering riffs, furious drums, and righteous anger at an unjust world. The reggae and dub tracks are a perfect way to break up the intensity while continuing the feel and political themes of the album.
