Strange times, strange music. Here we have about an hour and a half of jamming: harsh, aggressive funk-laced jazz. Davis himself seems slightly subdued, but the band -- including Chick Corea, who sounds most uninhibited, and a very busy Steve Grossman -- goes right over the top.
Pity the poor old Grateful Dead, who had to follow this squalling tornado.
