DANIEL AVERY - Together In Static LP

Daniel Avery has shifted away from the acid/techno sound and has settled into territory focusing on more atmospheric and minimalist compositions. This sound was first heard in 2018's 'Song for Alpha' and has continued with 2020's 'Love + Light'.

It appears Avery has found comfort in this new sound, for better or for worse. On the plus side, many tracks on this record work extremely well in developing their arrangements over their typical four to five-minute runtime. 'Endless Hours' and 'Nowhere Sound' are key standouts, featuring rich ambient textures, spacious reverb and loads of delay. They're two kind of tracks you could imagine soundtracking a science fiction world like Blade Runner or Cyberpunk 2077.
