Nicky Del Rey, Melbourne's Titan of the Telecaster and guitar-for-hire over the years for Intoxica, Lisa Miller, Sherry Rich, Jack Howard, Moonee Valley Drifters and countless others, takes you on a wild ride of classic surf and street instrumentals and non-stop dancing.

An arresting surf-guitar instrumental version of the 1993 NIRVANA classic, "Heart-Shaped Box" continues the sixties surf guitar tradition of bands like The Ventures, who would often play jaw-dropping instrumental covers of hits of the day. And it works a treat - Del Rey captures every nuance of Kurt Cobain's heart-rending melody with his Tele twang to create a piece of music every bit as affecting as the original, even though it is minus the words.

Nicky Del Rey's Misadventures also features some newly penned original instrumental classics like "Point Impossible" and "Thirteenth Beach".

The band also features Layla Fibbins (Sideshow Brides) on guitar, Dave Folley (Mick Thomas, Man In Black) on drums and Tom Heathcote (Midnight Woolf) on bass.
