Limited edition of 300 copies. 105 page perfect bound softcover book.
Highly recommended.
The True Story Of The Grunge Underground is the first book by Action Swingers main man Ned Hayden published on his own 5.2.62 imprint.
It chronicles the years between 1987-1993 when Ned managed the CBGB Record Canteen then worked at Caroline Records founding the Primo Scree label before leaving to play in the Action Swingers full-time until their ultimate demise.
In between, Ned encounters a who's who of the underground grunge scene on both sides of the Atlantic.
Full of hilarious stories of Ned's first meeting with Mudhoney - before they had even released any records - and whole lot more name dropping, from Sonic Youth and Ramones members to Matador's Gerard Cosloy.
