Imagine if Alan Vega and Martin Rev were really into Cream or the MC5 instead of Gene Vincent. Imagine if they got to shred over Rocket USA or Ghost Rider, and fill it with a litany of tape effects and synth textures, and sing with a bad-ass soulful shout, like a deranged Hawkwind from hell. Now imagine that they beat them to the punch by a year.

Suicide is well respected and for good reason, but for a more virtuosic, eclectic alternative, Chrome's debut is a top notch acid vial of San Francisco weirdness. Bad Vibes Psychedelia taken to it's logical extreme.

And John Dwyer worships Chrome. Need we say any more?
