FRIKO - Something Worth Waiting For LP

How to describe Friko to someone who hasn't listened to them before? They're an indie rock band that feel like successors to the indie greats of the 1990s and 2000s such as Modest Mouse and Arcade Fire. They wear their influences on their sleeve, but they are varied enough that it's hard to pin them down. Their special sauce is lead vocalist Niko Kapetan, whose voice can best be described as a zoomer take on the vocal affectations of Conor Oberst or Isaac Brock.

The instrumentals are amazing, the vocals are beautiful, and the mash up of both male and female vocals enhance it, the guitars that use it's 'raw' sound are really well welcomed, with drums that are not heavy with grate usage of the plates.

It's really a LP that reminds a little bit the epoque of Garage Band Revival seemingly, would this be the new Is This It of the generation?
