HOLLY GOLIGHTY - God Don't Like It LP

Highly recommended.

With her excellent snarky vocal delivery, God Don't Like It is some of the best work I've heard from her. It's not as rollicking as some of her earliest solo stuff or Thee Headcoatees.

Instead, she seems more laid-back and self-assured with this smokey, bluesy 60's-driven vibe. She hints at country music, which would be further explored in Holly Golightly and the Brokeoffs.

Ballads like "Easy on Me" and "Here Beside You" are subtly captivating. Regarding "Use Me", she's one of those artists who is able to breathe new life into her covers of older songs almost effortlessly.

A huge standout on this is "Feel Something", a duet with Dan Melchior whom she would work with on Desperate Little Town, which is among both artists ESSENTIAL listening.
