In what should not come as a surprise, 'Based on the Best Seller' is yet another phenomenal Sloan record featuring the complete efforts of the entire quartet in crafting catchy, hook-laden power pop music.
I had to pinch myself when they released "Dream Destroyer" as a single thirty years into their career but I'm not sure that, or the two other singles "Live Forever" and "No Damn Fears" are anywhere close to the best songs on this LP.
