TWILIGHTS - Once Upon A Twilight... 2LP (colour vinyl)

Limited edition of 100 copies on gold and purple colour vinyl.

The Twilights' Once Upon A Twilight... LP from 1968 is considered a genuine Australian classic of its era, and certainly one of the best local psychedelic albums ever released.

The band featured a young Glenn Shorrock, pre- his fame with Axiom and Little River Band, and hailed from Adelaide. They toured the UK in 1967 and soaked up the London scene and laid this classic to tape in Bill Armstrong's Melbourne studio in early 1968.

All but two tracks were written by guitarist Terry Britten, and it's a mind-melting mix of baroque, psychedelic pop with a truly adventurous musical spirit.

It was only ever released in Australia on the Columbia label with some of the most deluxe packaging ever seen: a gatefold sleeve with a full pop-up inside featuring band members in a fantastical setting. Originals go for $300+.

It has never been reissued on LP before (the Aztec label did the CD a number of years ago), but the Spanish label Guerssen has secured the official rights and here it is.

With music sourced from the original masters, it also features a four-panel insert with photos and liner notes.
